To help you get started, we’ve gathered some of the most frequently asked questions couples ask when searching for their wedding venue. Whether you’re newly engaged or just beginning to explore your options, this guide will help you feel confident and informed as you plan your big day.

Is Our Wedding Date Available?

Checking wedding date availability is often the very first step in choosing a wedding venue, and for good reason. Popular wedding dates, peak seasons, and weekend celebrations can book up quickly, sometimes more than a year in advance.

To offer couples as much flexibility as possible, our wedding venue packages are available across mid-week and weekend dates. We understand that choosing your wedding date involves many moving parts, including work schedules, guest travel, holidays, and seasonal preferences, so we aim to make this part of the planning process as stress-free as possible.

We provide a live online availability calendar, which we’re happy to share with you, so you can easily view which wedding dates are currently available. We also offer provisional date holds, allowing you time to finalise your plans and feel confident in your decision before officially booking your wedding venue.

How Many Guests Can the Venue Accommodate?

Having an estimated guest count early in your wedding planning journey can make choosing the right venue much easier. Comfort, flow, and atmosphere are just as important as the overall style of your celebration, and the right space should feel perfectly suited to your guest numbers.

Our wedding venue can accommodate up to 160 guests for daytime celebrations and up to 250 guests for evening receptions. For couples planning a more intimate celebration, we also offer Intimate and Micro Wedding packages, ideal for weddings of 20–60 guests.

Our spaces and wedding packages have been thoughtfully designed to suit both larger weddings and smaller, more personal celebrations, allowing us to tailor the experience to your vision and guest list, without the space ever feeling too big or too small.

Venue inclusions vary widely, so it’s important to understand what’s provided and what you’ll need to arrange separately.

At Henblas enjoy exclusive use of our beautiful venue from 8am until 2.30am. Designed for celebrations of every size, our packages give you complete freedom to create the wedding day you have always dreamed of. With space for 20 to 160 day guests and up to 250 evening guests, every moment can unfold in one unforgettable setting. From morning preparations to your final dance, our dedicated team will ensure your day runs seamlessly and beautifully.

Are There On-Site Getting Ready Spaces?

We offer two dedicated on-site getting ready areas, one for each bridal party, so your celebrations can start early and flow seamlessly into the rest of the day. Having both parties on-site from the start helps create a relaxed, joyful atmosphere and keeps your entire wedding day in one beautiful place.

Can We Choose Our Own Vendors?

When choosing a wedding venue, many couples want to know how much flexibility they’ll have with their wedding suppliers. Some venues require in-house services, while others allow you to bring in the suppliers you love.

We’re happy to offer complete flexibility with wedding suppliers, meaning you’re welcome to choose the vendors that feel right for your day. We also love working with talented professionals across the wedding industry and have a trusted list of recommended local wedding suppliers, all of whom we’ve worked with before and know deliver an exceptional experience.

Whether you already have your dream team in mind or would appreciate a few suggestions, we’re always on hand to offer guidance and recommendations to help make your wedding planning as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Is Catering Provided or Can We Bring Our Own?

Food and drink play a huge role in creating a memorable wedding day, which is why couples often ask about catering options early in the planning process. Your wedding menu isn’t just a meal, it’s part of the experience you share with your guests.

At our wedding venue, your guests will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience created by our exclusive caterer and sister company, Barretts Event Caterers. Known for their passion for exceptional food and flawless service, the Barretts team brings creativity, care, and a touch of magic to every wedding celebration.

As part of your planning journey, you’ll be invited to a tasting session where you can explore menu options, share ideas, and see your vision come to life. The Barretts chefs and experienced event team will guide you every step of the way, ensuring your wedding breakfast and evening catering feel personal, thoughtfully planned, and truly reflective of you as a couple.

How Long Do We Have the Venue on the Wedding Day?

Understanding how much time you have for setup, celebrations, and the evening reception is key to planning a relaxed and well-paced wedding day timeline.

On your wedding day, you’ll have access to our Bridal Getting Ready Area from 8am, giving you plenty of time to prepare, relax, and enjoy the morning with your bridal party. Your guests will be welcomed to the venue one hour prior to your ceremony, allowing everyone to arrive comfortably and settle in before the celebrations begin. (12pm earliest guest arrival).

Your wedding reception will then continue until 12:30am, giving you the full day and evening to celebrate, right through to the final dance. This generous schedule ensures you can enjoy every moment without feeling rushed, from morning preparations to dancing the night away.

Is There Parking and Is the Venue Easy to Access?

Guest convenience is an important part of creating a relaxed and enjoyable wedding day, especially for guests travelling from further afield or those who may need easy access.

Our wedding venue offers on-site parking, with a staffed car park on arrival to personally greet your guests and guide them toward the venue entrance. For larger celebrations, overflow parking is also available, ensuring plenty of space for everyone attending your special day.

For guests who require easy access, vehicles can be driven directly to the venue doors, and the main areas of the venue itself are located on a single level, providing comfort and accessibility for all guests throughout the day and evening.
